On June 10, South Korean research institution SNE Research disclosed data that from January to April 2024, the total battery consumption of electric vehicles (EV, PHEV, HEV) sold worldwide (excluding China) was approximately 101.1GWh, an increase of 13.8% over the same period last year.

From the TOP10 ranking of global (excluding China) power battery installation volume from January to April, there are significant changes compared with this year's disclosure. Among them, two Korean companies have risen in the rankings, one Japanese company has fallen in the rankings, and another Chinese company has been newly listed. From the year-on-year growth, from January to April, among the TOP10 global (excluding China) power battery installation volume companies, four companies still achieved year-on-year triple-digit growth, including three Chinese companies and one Korean company. China New Energy Aviation had the highest growth rate, reaching 5.1 times; two companies had negative year-on-year growth, namely South Korea's SK On and Japan's Panasonic.
