Capacity of power batteries in the first five months was 160.5GWh

On June 14, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the production and sales of the automobile industry in May 2024. In May, my country's overall economic output continued to expand, and the production and operation activities of enterprises maintained a recovery and development trend. In that month, automobile sales achieved a slight increase both month-on-month and year-on-year, the production and sales of new energy vehicles and automobile exports continued to grow rapidly, and Chinese brands continued to perform well.

In May, my country's automobile production and sales reached 2.372 million and 2.417 million units respectively. Production decreased by 1.4% month-on-month, and sales increased by 2.5% month-on-month, and increased by 1.7% and 1.5% year-on-year respectively.

From January to May, my country's automobile production and sales reached 11.384 million and 11.496 million respectively, up 6.5% and 8.3% year-on-year respectively. The growth rates of production and sales narrowed by 1.3 and 2 percentage points respectively compared with January to April.
